summer vacation spots?
DH and I want to go away for a few days somewhere on the beach this summer- Would prefer to drive somewhere (don't mind if it's a far drive), but would be willing to fly a short distance. My brother works for hilton hotels and gets us a really good room price, so we are looking to find a destination where there's shops and things to do, but also right on a beach.
Anyone have suggestions??

I think Ocean City has a Hilton right on the beach.

VA Beach has a Hilton right on the boardwalk that is nice and is located in a great spot.

Puerto Rico - it's a short flight, not driving, but if you can get a great hotel rate it's awesome. ETA - I also wanted to add that you don't need to go through lengthy customs and border shit like you do with some Islands bc PR is considered a state. That makes a difference, time-wise.

Clearwater Beach is gorgeous, and there is a Hilton right on the beach. Lots to eat, shops, etc.

Long beach island in New Jersey is my go to local beach vacation. It's got a little bit of everything. I highly recommend the engleside to stay it's right on the beach.
