double stroller necessary?

Ds will be almost 2.5 when his brother arrives. as it is, we only use stroller for airport, occasional shopping trips. we leave umbrella stroller in the car "just in case" when we need it. He wants to be in his buggy or trike for walks around the neighborhood.

Is it worth it to get the double stroller?

we purchased a double when my second was born. older DS was 2.5. we have used it twice in the last year. we bought the kind he can stand on the back.

DD was almost 3 when DS was born I bought the britax double stroller. its been over a year since DS was born and we have only used a few times. I got one for when DH isn't with me and we cant push two strollers, like when I went to the Bronx zoo and DH didn't come though DD was not in the stroller the whole time she went in when she was tired of walking.

that's was my main reason for getting it. I don't take it for trips to stores (but to be fair I don't shop with my kids, it very rare if I take them to a store )if we went for a walk around the block I would take it either.

It depends on the kid.

Mine were 1.5 years apart.

When DD was 0-8 months, we used the baby bjorn or ergo for her & had DS walk or single stroller.

AFTER that, when DD was 9 months & DS was just over 2, we had a double for malls & zoos.

By the time DD consistently walked (1.5), both were out of it (DS was 3). Sure, some people like to put both kids in strollers, but our kids loved to walk & while it took us a bit longer to do something, it was pretty smooth without lugging something around.

With wide gaps, I'd recommend a cheap or used double stroller just in case.

Mine will be almost 2 when is born and for us it's necessary. I currently use my stroller all the time so it's a must for us.

If really depends on your child.

DS 1 was 2 1/4 when DS 2 was born. We got a double City Mini and have gotten a lot of use out of it. I use it mainly for long walks and for places that require a lot of walking.

We tried to retire it this weekend on a trip to the zoo but, we both ended up carrying a kid on our way out.

My girls are 2.5 years apart. I got a Britax double and so far in 6 months we've used it just a few times. But with summer coming o know we'll use it a bunch for sesame, the zoo, and other trips. For short errands dd1 just walks but for long days I'm glad to have the double. I will say I wanted something that worked with my car seat but I plan to return he adapter bc I haven't found it necessary.

My kids are 22 months apart. I rarely used it. My advice would be to wait until the baby comes before you purchase one.

I use my double stroller all the time. MY DS is almost 3 and while he does prefer walking at times, there are times where we walk too far and he needs the stroller. I have the city select which is great because it can be used as a single with one seat or a double with 2 seats.

DD is 2.5 and DS is 3 months. I like the sit and stand because it holds the infant seat and dd can sit in the front. I thought I wouldn't need it but with nice weather we are doing more outdoor stuff and it's ya sire for me to keep the older one contained when I'm out with bot of them by myself. Keep in mind they really can't sit in a double stroller until 6 months of age, unless u buy one of the pillow type supports...
