Night time potty training
DS has been potty trained for almost 3 years!!! But, we have him in diapers at night. My younger DD is fully day & night trained at 3 (she just woke up dry one day & wakes me up to pee).
Now, he's really old enough to be out of diapers totally (almost 5  ), but he wakes with a wet diaper every AM. I have had him out of diapers the last 3 nights & he pees (and then wakes up and tells me) at 2-3 am every night. He's then dry until AM. We cut out fluids before bed, etc. He pees before bed.
Do I:
Stay the course & let him pee himself every night until he gets the hang of waking himself up? How long does this take?
Set an alarm and take him to the bathroom at 1am?

My doc told us there is no such thing as night training. Their body is either ready or not. My DS wore pull-ups until he was 5 years, 2 months before he night trained. He was day trained at 25 months!!  Once he was dry for 1-2 weeks, we put underwear on him at night and haven't looked back!

Stay the course.
When I trained my girls, they were trained 100% day and night from the start. My son was completely trained at 2 years 9 months except for nighttime. He slept in a pull-up (aka "nighttime underwear"  ) until 4 years 2 months when he began waking up dry consistently. I would not stress it.

I've gotten the same thing from my ped, as well as others. You cannot night time train, it's physiological. They will stop night wetting when their body can do it. My DD actually gets upset about waking up wet, she was potty trained in 1 day at 24 months, and 1.5 years later still needs a pull up overnight. By 6, they should be able to stay dry. For me, I try without here and there, but I don't push it bc I believe it's out of her control.

Night time potty training
get a Chummie - it worked so well - it is an alarm the child wears - we tried waking my son before we went to bed - didn't work - restricting liquids after 4 - did not work
this thing worked in less than 2 weeks - my son is 5.5 and has been trained since 2.5 but would wake up drenched - he would soak through pull ups

ugh we are dealing with the same thing
DD has been day time potty trained since 2!!!!
She is turning five and still wears "night time underwear" and wakes up soaked every morning 
I have tried restricting liquids, just using underwear, using the pee pads - nothing
I don't know what to do

this!
DS is almost 5 and still wears pull-ups. i don't stress it. he'll stop when he's ready. not worth it for me to stress him out and wake him up crying over a wet bed when i can put on pull-ups and let him sleep through the night.
