Airfare to Europe
Is $1,400/pp for airfare alone to go to Europe for nine days vacation too expensive? We will be flying into one city and leaving from another city and the plan to book local flight separate. We plan to go in the peak season and not flexible with dates because of time off already scheduled at work.
If you traveled to Europe in peak season, how much did you pay for airfare?

WE are flying roundtrip JFK to Athens Greece in July and paid $1370 per ticket...and we booked it in February. It has gone up to $1700 since then...Not sure where you are going but $1400 sounds about right.

Sounds about right. I'm flying to Italy in July and paying around the same price round trip. I did pay a lil extra for more leg room seats though. I also book like two months ago. It isn't cheap to fly to Europe that is for sure!

We are going at the end of August. I thought if we had booked sooner may be airfare wouldn't be so expensive..I always thought flights to Europe cost around a thousand dollars but I guess I was wrong. Thx everyone.

I just booked my flight from Munich-JFK for about $700, British Airways with a stop in London. We are going beginning of September.
I usually go home around this time.
It depends where you are going, but I found the prices are cheaper after August 15th.
Go on skyscanner.net and play around with the dates using the chart.
Where are you flying into?

We just did something similar and paid 2500 for the two of us, round trip.

That sounds right. I am headed to UK for work, I booked my ticket a few weeks ago, it was $2,400k!
