Tiring out a 3 year old with a shoulder injury
Any ideas of things to do with a 3 year old to burn some energy? We are on day 2 of her wearing a shoulder sling for 3 weeks and she is bouncing off the walls. It can't be anything too active and everything I think of to do she would need to use her arm. TIA!

What about kicking around a soccer ball outside? Hopscotch? Taking a walk (scavenger hunt-like find the purple flower, a blue car, a man in a hat, etc.).

A nature walk....collect leaves, rocks etc, drawing with chalk outside (any fresh air help), walk around the mall just to get out, go to the duck pond and feed the ducks. Hope she feels better!

I would probably just try to do different excursions. Aquarium, museums, petting zoo/farm etc...

Bubbles, stickers, stamps, water color paint, colorforms. Baking (I give dd jobs like putting 3 m&ms on each cookie or putting the liners in the muffin pans). Water play. Dd could spend forever with two small bowls and a medicine dropper. Simple board games

My son broke his collarbone around the same age, and honestly we tried to keep him still for about 3 days and then he had enough. I didnt let him do anything crazy like trampoline or wrestling with his brother, but other than that normal activity
