i DO NOT recommend the one in Bellmore. I had a number of bad experiences there. Now DS is in World Gym in Wantagh and i recommend it.
i hear the saf t swim in levittown that just opened is much better.

We've been taking our kids to Saf-t-swim in East Meadow for a little over a year now. We've had mostly a great experience. You would have to call for pricing because each location varies and there are all different packages you can choose from. A lot of the experience depends on the instructor you wind up with. At the East Meadow location, the office staff is super nice and helpful, and we have no issues with the pool/changing area/waiting area. We've had one or two instructors that were not that great, but otherwise, we've had a great experience.

We're starting a baby & me class on 5/9 at the Levittown location. They were running a special for 6 sessions for $80 so I jumped on that right away. I think the special ends on 4/30. Also, under 6 months is free - not sure how old your DC is.

I did a baby n me class at the safety swim location in Commack and it was AWEFUL. The teachers were more interested in speaking with each other then working with the class

I agree stay away....it took about 3 months to even get our FIRST swim class to happen.....snow closures, pool heater problems, instructors absent then QUITTING, kid's going to the bathroom and then having to shut the pool down....My DS went 2 times...we ate the money and never sent him back b/c it just wasn't working out

My sister goes to the levittown one and she recommends it. (She was a former swim instructor so I trust her judgement).

DD went to saf t swim from 2-6 months for the free lessons. We'll be enrolling DD#2 for it as well.
DH and DD will also be doing Baby & Me starting in June.
This is at the smithtown location. I'd love to sign her up for private lessons eventually but they're just so much money.

Ds has been going to the one in bellemore since he's 6 months old, now he is 27 months. I have had a wonderful experience with that location. I love it there

Re: saf-t swim
I guess each location may vary because they have different employees and management. I'm also not sure if they are individually owned and operated or not. But, for me, the Nesconset location is where we go and I can only speak for there.
I signed my son up for private 1-on-1 lessons since he started at only fifteen months. They were wonderful and his instructor, Kayla, was the sweetest thing and SO good with him. She really taught him to be comfortable in the water, comfortable with it going in his eyes and over his face, and learning how to float well and then paddle and kick, etc. He LOVES going. He giggles when we arrive and usually throws a hissy when we have to leave.
She calls him Ju-Ju (his name is Julian lol)
But I'm sorry because if it's another location you are going to go to you could have a completely different experience, KWIM?
For me, the pricing was good because I got in on a deal - it was basically a session for the price of two sessions or something like that -- it was like $260 for 8 or 10 classes.
Then, I went back to sign him up again and the deal had ended so for the same thing it was double the price!!
They said they would run the deal again the end of May so we are waiting.
Sorry Ju-Ju

They run specials so we did the individual lessons. One time was in Bellmore and the next was in Oceanside. I prefer Oceanside, but it is also closer to me.
