6 week vaccine reaction??
My DS is 6 weeks old and got some vaccines today. He now has a 101 fever and I am so nervous. The dr said it's normal and to just give him Tylenol. I gave it to him but feel so uneasy now. I'm afraid to go to sleep in case his fever goes up or the reaction worsens. He is so young to have a fever and take Tylenol  Has this happened to anyone else?

6 week vaccine reaction??
A fever is a normal reaction to vaccines so I would try not to stress about it. If he doesn't feel well in the middle of the night, he'll let you know. Tylenol is also fine at that age. I'm pretty sure they give them tylenol when they are circumsized in the hospital.

My DD had it every time she got the Prevnar vaccine.
It's no big deal: one dose of tylenol & she'd be fine. We also gave motrin instead of tylenol. We gave it in prevention after she got a low grade fever twice.
Ask your Dr which vaccination she thinks caused the reaction & premedicate.

When my ds got his 6 week vacation...he slept for like 4 hours after the appointment but work up screaming. I felt so bad I was crying. I gave tylenol and then he was ok.

6 week vaccine reaction??
DD was just very fussy after her 6w shots and we gave Tylenol. As of now (13m) that was the only time we've had to give anything after a vax.

Thank you so much for the replies. I stayed up for a few hours so I could check on him and luckily his fever went down. He seems back to normal today. Your replies definitely calmed me down a bit.
