FTWM question re:daycare

I used to work part time from 3-7, so I was home all day with them, put them down for a nap and DH and I would switch spots at 3pm. Ideal.
Now I may have the opportunity for a full time job, where I would need to be in at 7am. I plan on putting them in an educational daycare like tutor time 3x week. I'm doing some research in case this job works out.

Q: how do you do this and get ready for work yourself? I have twin DDs and a baby. Do they get breakfast at daycare? Will I literally have to wake them at 5 to be on time? Will I be able to do this?

I have one right now so it's not too bad. Either I wake up first and get myself ready and then wake up DD or if she wakes up earlier for whatever reason, I get her ready and then myself ready. When I was pumping it was worse bc I would have to wake up about an hour before I DD typically woke up so I could pump, clean up, get ready, and then wake her up. It was rough.

In a few months I'll have to get DD and a newborn/infant ready along with myself and im not quite sure how I'm going to do it!

Right now DD drinks her milk when she wakes up and she'll get breakfast at daycare so at least I don't have to worry about that.

what time does DH have to leave in the morning. I leave earlier than DH so he drops DD off at daycare. He gets ready first, then gets DD ready, she eats breakfast at daycare

My dh does mornings. He wakes up early to shower and shaves at night. They have breakfast together as he enjoys the time with her but once Ds is in the mix I expect her to just eat at school.

He wakes at 6 and they leave the house both ready around 7:30/7:45.

Try to do things night before, pack bottles/food if needed and other supplies and pick out outfit.

She is 2 when she wakes it he wakes her up it's diaper change and into clothes right away. Sippy cup of milk, if she's early she will sit on bed while he finishes dressing and they talk and song. Them breakfast together. She stays in highchair while we put in shoes and brush teeth so she isn't running all over. Then it's quick jackets/bags and out the door.

I need to get out the door by 6:54 - no later - to be at day care by 7:00 and to work by 7:30. DS is 11 months, but I've been doing the same routine since he was 4 months. I get everything ready the night before (shower, 6pick out our clothes, make my lunch, prepare his food, pack my gym bag, etc)

Here's my morning routine (this is an ideal situation where DS decides to STTN til I wake him up! )

5:30 - Wake up
5:40 - I pump as I do my hair and makeup.
5:55 - Load up car with our bags.
6:00 - Eat breakfast
6:15 - Brush teeth
6:20 - Wake up, nurse, change DS
6:45 - I get changed
6:54 - Out the door

DS eats actual breakfast at daycare.

I have a 14 month old and a3 year old. My 14 month old still does not sleep thru the night so me waking early is not possible for me, my husband leaves at 6 so if we are still sleeping he wakes us up, but usually the baby wakes up at 530.
I shower at night, but if I have a meeting I try to do my hair in morning It looks nicer I work an hour away and I'm always late. Supposed to be at work at 8. which means they need to be in school, and me on road by 7
I pack the boys bags night before
somne timesthey sleep in sweats and go to school in them too
some times my 3 year old has hard time leaving. ..his sock is on the wrong foot. .etc.


I feel like if I worked closer it be easier

Love day care though they have fun and learn so much

Edited to add : our day care gives all meals and snacks except for baby under 1 we brought his own stuff then.

So I don't know why but it takes me an hour and a half to get me, two kids, dressed, wash their face, brush hair and teeth, give them cups, get the 3 year old up and out is sometimes hard, I make my shakology on a good day and packing my lunch throws me for a loop, I really need to start that night before too

I have a 19 month old son. I wake up at 5:45am and shower, get ready. I have everything I need and DS needs picked out the night before - clothes, food and items for his daycare bag, etc. He wakes around 6:30am and I get him dressed (I usually run out and warm the car and put the bags in right before he wakes)... Then we are off. He eats a waffle and has a sippy cup of milk in the car on the way to daycare. Daycare is very close to home. I drop him around 7-7:15am and then hop right on the parkway for work. Either myself or his father pick him up in the afternoon. Then daycare feeds him the rest of his breakfast. I give him a little in the car to "take the edge off"

My DH does drop off but here is our schedule.

I wake at 5 am
shower, get ready
6am wake DH and he showers
I get dressed while DH is in the shower
Wake DS about 615
Pick out clothes for DS
head downstairs and get DS some breakfast
Finish anything up I need to do before I walk out at 640 for my train
After I leave DH gets dressed and helps DS get dressed and at 715 they are out the door for coffee before DS is dropped off at 730.

Daycare feeds DS breakfast lunch and afternoon snack but my DS is a bottomless pit so he eats 2 breakfasts.

It is a bit easier now that we don't have to bring much to daycare but when we had bottles I made those the night before and had them in the frig for DH to grab....he left them home plenty of times but thank god we are 5 mins from daycare.

I get up at 5:30am. Get completely ready and get everything ready for DS to take to day care. I wake up him up about 20 minutes before we have to be out the door. Just enough time to get him dressed and out the door. I give him breakfast and milk in the car, though he also gets breakfast at day care. You'll figure it out!

Up at 5:30 am...shower, dress, dry hair, makeup on. Done by a little after 6. DD will usually wake up on her own by that point because she hears me and DH. (or if not, I get her up by 6:30) Let DD pick out her clothes, change her, feed her breakfast, get her bag ready. (if I am really motivated I'll do that the night before) Then I usually have about 20 minutes where we just watch a cartoon or play. Out the door by 7:15.

When I had to do bottles, they were all prepped the night before and put in the fridge.

I usually wake up by 6 at the latest - DS is usually still sleeping until about 6:30 (if he does wake up earlier, DH hangs out w/ him or he's playing with toys in his room while I do make-up/hair.

By 6:30 I'm usually done with my shower, make-up, finding clothes to wear, pick out his clothes.

By 7, I usually nurse him - and then he's in the kitchen with me and DH while we prepare our lunches, pack his bag and my bags, and then I blow dry my hair around 7:15, all get dressed and are out the door by 7:35.

Do you have to be AT work at 7?
There are limited options for 6am or 6:30 drop off.
We ended up going with a babysitter & enrolling in preschool. Pretty $$ but it is dependable.

Honestly it just took time to figure out how much time I needed.

For me I have to be at work by 8am but its a 40mins commute (drive)

That said I only have one:
6ish: I wake up, brush my teeth (this wakes me up I swear) and then crawl into bed with AJ. We goof off until about
6:15 when I shove her off to go pee and brush.
6:30 she's sitting ready for hair to be brushed with her tortillas
6:45 she's done and I hand her off to hubby to dress her
6:45 I get dress and brush my hair
6:55-7:00 TV is turned off and we are out the door.
7:00-7:05 at school (or daycare back before school). We sit with her for her breakfast
7:15 Kiss & hugs and I'm off to work

Same schedule applied as soon as she was off a bottle. Before that I'd bring her to bed with me to snuggle and eat.

Hubby always watches her while I get dressed. The one time I was solo with her I got dressed while she was brushing her teeth.

But basically I figured on any given weekend or maternity leave day, if I had a doctor apt or something how long did it take me to get out the door? Just factored that into my morning with an extra 10-15mins then figured it out.

For us, it was important we both drop her off together. Since 15w that has been the routine. We go together. She and I in my car, he in his. We drop and then go separately to work. So we have to plan around two work schedules. Until this job it was 8:30 for both of us. Now its 8am for me 8:30 for him. bah!

Thank you so much for a much more clear picture of how things will go. The daycare I am choosing has to have an early dropoff option, because I need to be at work by 7am ish. If DH had to drop them off, he'd never once be on time for work, lol
Thankfully I would only be doing this 3x week.the baby is what's throwing me off. I can change the twins and their clothes and brush their hair in 15 mins. I guess I will have to wake up around 5:30, do my hair, makeup, change, then get the kids up and in the car. I'm very good at packing up the night before and loading up the car.
I know it sounds crazy but I'm so eager to get back to work!

I'm up at 5am and out the door at 6:45am. Tutor time is literally down the block and around the corner but I usually stop at the bagel shop first then drop DD to early morning there then my older DC to school( goes to early morning at a Catholic School nearby and make it to work by 7:30 believe it or not. My oldest takes a bus to HS so no issues with her.

When I worked at the hospital itself my shift began at 7am that's where DH came in since he had to be in at 8. He would do the drop offs.

Just do investigate the daycare early drop off times. I only found 1 in my neighborhood that had a 6:30 drop off time.
