Need some help.

My dd is offically out of her infant seat. My ds is 3 yrs old is 32 pounds and is in a Britax Roundabout. The Roundabout only goes to 40 lbs. I figured I'd just moved my dd to his car seat and buy him a new one. He is definitely not ready for a seatbelt only booster seat. What shpould I buy him? I'd like to buy a Britax for him too but which one? There are so many. Marathon, Decathalon etc... I also found a Britax Youth seat which is like a booster seat but it still has a 5 point harness, but he has to be 38 inches and he's only 36 1/2 inches right now. Any suggestions? What do you ladies have for your kids? TIA

we dont have a britax but we have one that has a 5 point harness and then converts to a shoulder belt booster. Sorry I dont remember the name but I would get one like that.

We have DD in the Roundabout and it was suggested to us when she grows out of it to use the Britax Regent which has a 5 point harness and is for children up to 80lbs.

Re: Need some help.

Holy Cow!! I went to BUYBUY BABY today to buy the regent car seat. It is HUGE!!!!!! I put my son in it and started to laugh. He is a peanut in it. My son is 37 inches and 32 lbs.

My son was born a month early so when we put him in the infant seat to take him home he came no where near filling it. Putting him in the regent today brought back such memories! the picture of the seat online is very deceiving. Needless to say I did not buy it because it was bigger than the captains seat in my grand caravan. I guess I have more research to do.

I have my 3 year old (42", 42 pounds) in the Britax Marathon. I moved him out of the Roundabout when my little guy was coming. I don't plan on putting him in a booster until next summer when he turns 4. He's got plenty of room in the Marathon.
