10.5 month old/bottles/formula
I have no clue what to title this subject...but
My son who is currently 10.5 months old just isn't interested in bottles. He got sick and was teething pretty bad in January but before that he was drinking 20oz between formula plus nursing 2-3 times a day. at his 9month check up i mentioned the decrease in formula to the pediatrician who said its fine and good since he was eating more solids and that this was normal. Since then on his best day he was drinking maybe 10-12 oz of formula in the past month but typically closer to 8. The past few days its been more like 6oz. He's still peeing (pooping) and he's eating food - pouches, yogurt, veggies, chicken, etc... he'll drink some water and he still nurses in the morning and night and sometimes during the night, its just basically the day time hours when i am at work. We've tried cold, room temp and warmed up and he just pushes them all away.
Should I try a different formula (he's been on gentleease for the past 9 months) or mix whole milk with the bottles, should I try a straw sippy cup?
Anyone deal with this before and have a suggestion on what i should offer him?
He wets diapers, is gaining weight and is happy.
Thanks.

Honestly, if he's eating food, getting good diapers, gaining weight and happy, I wouldn't stress over it. It sounds like he's getting everything he needs, honestly. He's getting more and more nutrients from the food he's eating versus the formula as time goes by.

I agree with this with only one thing to add.. maybe vitamins? Otherwise.. it seems about right. And lucky you for getting an easy way out of the bottle!

My DS is the same age. He has not had a bottle in over a month. During the week, I nurse him three times a day. I provide daycare with 12 ounces of breastmilk. He drinks anywhere from 6-12 ounces out of a straw cup. I wouldnt stress it. If he's taking in solids and has a wet and dirty diapers, he's fine.
