Traveling to Europe, what toys to bring?

We are going to the UK at the end of the month for a week. Our flight there is overnight so we know DD will sleep. We will have our iPads and I plan to bring coloring books, crayons and regular books. DD is 2.5 so will have her own seat and is entitled to a carryon and a personal item. What other toys should I pack? While we are in the UK I plan to take her to a bounce house and the park so we won't need them all the time.

Pack whatever little toys you can. A bounce house is only 2-3 hours a day. She will surely want toys. Pack what you can...you will be happy you did.

Well yes, but we aren't going to be playing all day Chat Icon I mean, what kind of toys are practical. DH said stuffed animals, but only so many will fit in her luggage.

I would suggest getting new things. How about Little People? Cars? Stickers? Baby doll and accessories and even think about hitting up the dollar store for things you can just toss before you come home

It sounds like you have some good things already. When I travel with the kids I prefer not to bring a ton of toys. In addition I would bring her favorite snugglies. I typically pack the same stuff you mentioned and then 1 or 2 small new toys. IMO with kids it's more of a pain in the but travelling with the extra bags.

melissa and doug water wows
or travel sized aquadoodle
travel sized magnadoodle
tons of stickers
food/snacks something that takes a long time to eat like a container or puffs

I wouldn't bring too much stuff. You have all the new sights!!

Can you get her a little backpack to carry? DD loves to pack hers with a few things when we go certain places, although when it matters I make sure I pick the toys! I would get a water wow book and those little marker books in target's dollar bin. I always have them handy for restaurants when we travel. Maybe a new little doll that she'd be into. DD has a little 4inch sophia and doc mcstuffins as well as barbie sized anna and elsa dolls. Those keep her busy and are small enough to pack a few for variety. I usually grab of few of DD's doctor tools so she can do check ups since they don't take up much space. She has a 12 inch baby doll so sometimes I'll stuff that in her backpack with a few accessories.

Yes she will have her backpack and a small roller luggage. So that's what I'm planning to use as her toy storage. My carryon will have a change of clothes, pjs and snacks for her.

I always pack my kids little travel bags. I buy them a few new things at the Target $1 section and hit up dollar tree. It's usually 1-2 new coloring/activity books, a few small toys, stickers, puzzle, lollipops for takeoff/landing, and snacks. They love looking in their bags and pulling new things out.
