ideas for meals with a milk protein allergy
I need ideas for meals for DS. He has a milk protein allergy right now, so cheeses etc are not on limits. Any suggestions? Right now he eats all fruits/veggies, chicken, meatballs, lentils etc.

Stews Poached chicken Macaroni and broccoli (I found the tubettini macaroni or alphabets macs at that age easier than pastina, which is impossible to clean up. The tubettini were great finger food, no need to cut!) Macaroni with egg scrambled into broth (boil a little no sodium chicken broth too for more flavor)

Oh, and for a quick meal or side, the dr. Praegers frozen spinach or broccoli littles. DD loved these and it was a great mindless meal in a pinch.

I know it's processed stuff, but the brand VANS makes french toast and waffles that are dairy free. I make sure it's toasted or microwaved soft and break into very small pieces.

And if you find a lot of general groceries have milk added (bread, frozen pancakes, etc), I found trader joes had a lot w/o milk, especially in their gluten free products.

Re: ideas for meals with a milk protein allergy
DD also has the allergy, but she can handle milk products in small small amounts (ie grated cheese in meatballs). We do lots of fruits, veggies and proteins, as well as pasta. For snacks she gets yogurt made with coconut milk or fruit and sometimes crackers or fruit & cereal bars. She basically eats whatever we eat but I skip the cheese for her. For breakfasts she usually had mini eggo waffles or pancakes, or eggs. Oh and peanut butter sandwiches go a long way too.
