Can you take a

bubble bath while prego? I haven't taken a bath in years and lately I'm thinking I want to soak in a warm bubble bath!

ETA: I just checked with my OB and he said go enjoy it!!! Just stay out of hot tubs!!

Re: Can you take a

I think some peole say that in your third trimester you should NOT take a bath. But, I have read in other places that you can take a bath.

Sorry not much help. I don't see why not. My mom used to take baths when she was preggo.

I pretty much took a bubble bath at least 4x a week during my first two trimesters last time around!

As long as your water hasn't broken, baths are fine. I think at this point you could probably even have the ater be pretty hot without it being an issue.

My MIL asked me this yesterday, if the thought on this has changed. She is a nurse and from what she said "years ago" they wouldn't let you in the third trimester b/c if you were starting to dilate at all (and obviously didn't know) you could get an infection from what's in the water. HTH

well that makes sense...I would hope at 32 weeks I'm not dilated yetChat Icon

What makes me nervous is all the cramping. Doesn't feel natural to be in bath with cramps, but the warm water on my back would feel so good.

ETA: Just called dr. and he said go for it!! Chat Icon

my doctor told me it was fine as long as it is not too hot. The hot water can bring on preterm labor.
