What can I take for a cold?
I feel terrible! I'm still pumping for the twins, but I'm trying to wean so taking something that will reduce my milk would be an added bonus. I just want to make sure that the milk that I do pump is safe for them to drink. Any suggestions on what I can take for the congestion?

What can I take for a cold?
Every 4 hours take a shot of Apple cider vinegar mixed with fresh lemon and honey. Stir quick and swallow. Tastes better than tequila! Apple cider vinegar breaks up mucus fast. Also a neti pot, you briefly feel like you're drowning but it's effective. Make sure you buy Apple cider vinegar "with the mother" I use braggs.
I recently gave in and tried Zyrtec D and felt so cracked out and it only slightly dried me up to boot.
Also drink tons and tons of water to thin the mucus. Feel better soon. I can't stand congestion!

That turned out to the be the magical answer! Thanks all. I'm now laying in bed and enjoyng a sick day too. It's almost worth it to be sick just to be able to lay around all day.

Hooray! I lovvvee Benadryl. I use it as a sleep aid on occasion and it works miracles. I also give it to my kids when they are sick.
