is it possible to put 3 kids comfortably in a smaller suv?
All rear facing. I drive a toyota matrix right now with my twins and i love having a smaller car. The thought of having to move up to a minivan or larger suv isnt making me happy.
I know there are plenty of mid sized suvs on the market with third row but the problem is finding one where i can RF all 3 kids.

I drive an Audi Q7 which is on the smaller side. My kids are 3.5, 7.5 and 8.5. One in a booster, one in britax FF and one in nothing. It's tight! I do have the 3rd row, that we use for long trips. I also only have to buckle the little one.
When they were smaller, I drove large SUv's and can't imagine being in something small.

My neighbors have 3 kids (twins who will be 3 in May and a 6 year old) and drive a Honda CRV. They have had it since the twins were infants.

maybe a honda pilot....the backseat is pretty wide. But I think for ease of use a minivan will be much easier for your life and kids. It would also depend of your carseats. There are ones on the market that are wider or narrower.

Yes you can but it will cost to get the right car seats. Diono Radian is where you want to be. You can fit 3 across in most any vehicle with those but it will be tight.

Rear facing might be easier. I have been trying to test out fitting a high back booster, a convertible carseat and a infant carseat in my nissan rogue. Unfortunately it's looking very tight. We also have a Chevy trailblazer but its huge and I prefer my rogue.
