Anyone's child have a Gluten allergy??
I'm trying to figure out if this could be what my daughter has.
What were some symptoms they had? Did they adjust ok to their new diets??

Not my kids but my niece has a gluten sensitivity. Every time she ate something with gluten she complained her belly hurt. She got tested and while she is not allergic she is very sensitive. Dr said she could or could not grow out of it so they removed gluten from her diet and she's been much better.

This is the same issue we have. She's not a big eater at all and lately the last few months she's been complaining that her belly hurts after eating. And what little she does eat is usually filled with gluten. We have an appt next week with the Ped so I was going to do a trial run of gluten free foods until then to see if it makes any difference. She's always irritable and fatigue too.

Re: Anyone's child have a Gluten allergy??
My DD was tested for celiacs after coming back with some irregular blood work. While she didn't show any typical symptoms, she had another issue that I thought could be related. The one thing I'd suggest is NOT cutting out gluten before you see your pediatrician or get blood work taken as it could definitely affect the results and for the truest picture they want your kid on their regular diet. Hope you get some answers soon!

I agree with this. My LO has celiac. See the doctor first, get blood work done, and then try a GF diet. Try it regardless of what anyone says, it's the best indicator if there is an issue. Feel free to message me with any questions - its usually a lengthy process, and you don't necessarily need a formal diagnosis.

Oh ok then I'll forget about cutting it out for now. I just feel bad she barely eats and when she does she tells me it hurts to much. I'll see what Happens next week at her appt. Thanks!!
