Honestly most criminals are not spending that much time analyzing the average person.

OR... the stickers are generic, and a few years old and Dad is former military, with military hand-to-hand combat training, and in peak physical condition, probably with a few guns at home. Son is now 18 years old, a line backer, and been lifting weights non-stop for the last 5 years, all-star wrestler, and living at home. The "tiny dog" is now an 8 year old German Shephard, formally trained in home defense.

I don't put stickers like that on my car because I don't like anything on my car (unless it's necessary like a parking pass or a beach pass) but I don't get the big safety thing here. Eh. So they know where my kid goes to school. Her and 500 other kids.
Now what?
And the parking pass doesn't have your address- just that you live in the town of such and such. Again, you and 1000 other people.

I don't like stickers on my car so this isn't an issue for me. I guess I can see how (rarely) this could be a potential safety issue. This isn't the first time I've heard that either.

I don't put anything on my car either if I don't have to, but I think my larger fear would be about abductors. Like, they scope a victim out - so they can kind of know what to say to make a kid think they are a friend or they know them or their family.

I don't put anything on my car except for the town parking permit for the parks/beaches.
I'm admittedly a little paranoid about things like this, but I totally agree, why broadcast to strangers the details of my family/hobbies/pets, etc.
To me, it's the same reason you don't put a kids name on his/her backpack. You never know what crazies are lurking in your neighborhood...and lately I feel like the crime stories on LI are getting more and more bizarre.

I appreciate this post! It can never hurt to share something that is potentially helpful. If you don't use stickers or aren't worried about it, that's great! But hey - what if this just so happens to stop one incident from happening? Totally worth it!

Yeah, and that sweet little girl is now a moody, pissed off teenager who can cut you down with one nasty look.

Ive seen this before, but if a criminal is going to stalk you by your car stickers, the same things can be found by watching you go in and out of a store, by seeing you outside playing with your kids, by leaving bikes or sports equipment in the driveway. There are a million indicators, I cant worry. I appreciate the share though, can never be too informed or have too much food for thought.

This is just dumb to me.
Its not that hard to look in and see the car seat
here EVERYONE is either active, reserve or ex military
Kids move on but the stickers from schools stay on.
Hobbies change and there's a thousand schedules that a simple soccer image won't say a whole heck of a lot.

I think the stick figures in general are meh. We have an Android family tho! LOL
Like PP said.. there are a MILLION ways to identify someone with or without the stickers. If a criminal wants to commit a crime, stickers or no stickers, won't make a difference. Stickers do NOT make it easier to a real criminal.
Heck I still have my Huntington Parking Lot Permit on my Tribute! WITH my license plate ooooooooooooh spooky!
Then again I take off all car dealership stickers, tags and plates. Hate that crap.

I agree with this tip.
People do scams and do stalk schools and playgrounds (have gotten emails from my kid's preschool about this). It's easy to get info from a sticker (heck, I read them all).
Someone attempted to scam my mom when she was a kid (told her something untrue about her parents in an attempt to get her to leave her toddler brother with them).
