Do you send valentines day cards?
I see so many photographers now doing vday shoots and people sending cards but i just don't see the point. Vday is a day for me and DH im not sure when it became a day to send people pics of my kids lol. Is this a new thing??

If I did any kind of pro shoot with a V-Day theme it would be to just have cute pics of my kids but I wouldn't actually send out V-day cards to friends and family, I feel like I just did the Xmas cards!!

Nope. Vday to me is an excuse to have some extra chocolate. LOL!
I have NEVER liked that holiday. Back when I was single my friends and I would go out drinking. Even when I was dating DH and if Vday was during the week I'd still go out drinking with friends.
Anyway, I will put the boys in some kind of red. Probably pick up some cupcakes with hearts, get cute cards for the kids and have them make DH a card. Maybe we'll bring in sushi and have some wine.
I do love date nights with DH, but any other night is fine. I don't want a price fixed meal that doesn't include alcohol. 
I only send out pics of them for the holidays and when they were little for a bday invite.

No. IMO the professional photo thing is out of hand. I would rather spend the money elsewhere.

Do you send valentines day cards?
i just did a VDay shoot for my 4 year old son, with a local photographer (i live in NJ). honestly it was just to have some cute pics of him. he's our only child, and most likely will be ( we adopted him, and would have to adopt any future kids, too). so i'm just trying to get every minute while he's little, before he turns into a stinky teenage boy! HAHAHA
we took our own christmas card pics this year, so i didn't spend money on a photographer for that... and i just thought the props and stuff she had for valentines day were cute.
i printed a couple for around the house, and probably will give a couple to the grandparents- but definitely DON'T plan on sending out mass v-day cards with his picture on them! LOL

Someone on my facebook posts professional pics of her kid once a month. Who has the time/money for that?

I just send cute cards from the kids to our families. I took all the pictures myself. I can't see spending a ton on professional pics for vday.

ITA. Newborn, ok. Cake smash, fine. But every holiday is borderline excessive.
So no V-day Mini shoot and no V-day cards.

I used the pics they took at the hospital for newborn shoots. Did a groupon for JC Penney for his christening (which came out awesome) and I have a target groupon for his 1st birthday pics. I'm not doing cake smash, just regular pics.

No, the only other person besides Shaun and Hailey that get a VDAY card is my mom, cause its her bday.
Yes the mini sessions are overboard.

I think it's cute, but I don't do it. DH and I don't even exchange cards anymore. If I did vday cards of kids, I would only send to immediate family.

Eta: I usually make cards with the kids as a craft for the grandparents and babysitter
