Things to do with Toddler while with a Dr.
I have an eye doctor appointment next week and I am bringing my 16m old DD with me. The last time I took her to a Dr. appointment she was 8 months old and I kept her in her bucket seat. I am just trying to figure out what I should do while I am having my eye exam and being fit for contacts. I am thinking about clipping her into her umbrella stroller with some books and music while I am having the exam. I know she isn't a fan of being in the stroller unless we are moving, but I figure it's only going to be a few minutes.
Just wondering what everyone else does.

I would schedule it for a time when someone can watch the baby unless it is naptime and you can get her to sleep in the stroller.

I would give my phone or bring the iPad. That's the only way f'd would sit for me right now. When we stop moving its game over lol. Other ideas small magma doodle, snacks, etc
Sometimes dd will be good if she doesn't know what's going on. She will just sit there confused and take everything in lol. Sometimes they shock you!

I would bring my iPad or my phone. Those are the only things that ever hold my DS' attention.

Dd comes with me to the dr all the time. It's all about snacks.

Ipad. I take my DS to most of my Dr appts and even Gyn ones. I always just bring toys or Ipad.

I brought my dd to a dr appt once and I thought it would be fine since I had toys, books, snacks and my phone ready to entertain her with. The only problem was she's soooo scared of the dr, and she thought she was getting a checkup even though the appt was for me. But she was too young for me to explain that to her (a little under 2 at the time). So she clung to me the whole time and the dr even had to examine me that way. Luckily my doctor understood and was nice about it. But now I only make appts when dh can stay home with dd, at least until she's old enough not to cling to me the whole time in fear.
