What age did you change the theme of DCs room to one they wanted?

DD has been asking for a Frozen theme room
She's only 3 & I really don't want to change anything around yet. Especially because I love her current Hello Kitty room
My husband's ready to run out & buy everything frozen to make her happy but I think she's so young & will change her mind.
When did you or will you change things around according to your DCs request?

Could you get her frozen sheets? That way you are not changing the entire room, but it might be a good compromise. Neither of my kids have character based rooms, because I feel that those favorites come and go so quickly. They do have character sheets but use regular pillows because the character ones are so scratchy.
DD has flowers and we changed her bedding to new flowers at age 5. She picked them again.

DS picked his bedding when he was 2. It is a transportation quilt from land of nod and he is 7. We offered him the opportunity to change the quit this past summer but he opted to keep it.

We started at 3.5.
The 1st thing we did was a few months ago when we put her toddler bed together was get her frozen bedding.
A few weeks ago we started changing over her wall decorations. (Her theme was purple flowers, so it works w all the frozen stuff).
We got her a few more things for the holidays for her walls.

With coupons, you can do very well at Harmon, bed bath and kohls for the decor.

Her walls and carpet are neutral so they go w anything.

We have a shared nursery room...
But, both kids have their own blankets and wall decals.
That adds a lot and isn't a huge loss when they get over a phase.

I agree with starting with just getting her sheets- that should be a good compromise. And I'm sure you can find those removeable wall decals, which will be "Frozen", but won't cost you a ton or be a ton of work

Dd hasn't asked yet at 4 but she did get frozen sheets for xmas.

I wouldn't chnage a while lot b/c I wouldn't want to paint and stuff lol but I would go to kohks and grab a few frozen wall decals. Those are cheap and easy enough to change when the time comes

My older DS is 3.5 and he loves dinosaurs so that is what we plan on doing to his room for his 4th birthday. We are going to make it subtle though because I feel like by 7-8 years old he isn't going to want a dino themed room anymore. My little guy is 21 months and still has a sports themed room from when he was a baby.

We repainted the walls a general color. My DD wanted a frozen room too. We did ice blue walls since that goes well with other princesses as well and from there bedding and wall stickers. In 6 montsh when she's over it we can change it easily.

At 3 she wanted a palace pets room.

At 3 he wanted a Spiderman room and that's what he got. I liked that he wanted to express his personality. Frozen will be around for a while, so I wouldn't worry about it going anywhere. Frozen 2 will be here before you know it.

They will get character sheets. Lol. I'm not having a Minnie Mouse room.
