Why is it soooo difficult
To take toys out of the boxes??? I spent so much time trying to pry dolls out of cardboard. They are tied with wires and taped and just impossible  Please tell me there is a good reason for this and it's not just to drive parents crazy

hahaha yes, I know.....I don't remember all these wires and tape in my toys as a kid. I would tear open the box and bam play right away..now you need all the tools in the house to get a little car out. lol

Lol yes we had the screws too! My husband even cut his finger trying to open a box. So crazy!

Amazon has frustration free packaging. Such a diff. Not like you can control where people buy your kids gifts from lol.

I really wish they all had plain flat boxes where you just open the box and out pops the toy. Just a photo in the box is enough. I don't need to see the toy through packaging.

Two reasons, 1. people steal things and the easier to remove a product from its packaging the easier it is for a thief to steal, and 2. Toy manufacturers typically design a toy to be visible to a child, to do so, it has to be partially open and touchable within the packaging. In order to anchor it into the packaging it needs to be secure.
In either scenario the store and the manufacturer do not want merch to walk away. By having difficult to open packaging it prevents loss.
I think someone mentioned Amazon and frustration free packaging.
I agree with you though, I hate the screw in kind of security ties.

There was a toys r us by me where stealing was a big problem... If it was packaged loosely, it was gone!
The Amazon packaging really doesn't look great for gifts. I like the ease of opening, but it made $$ gifts look worse for that wow factor.

Yes I had to print out pictures of what it was and tape it to the boxes for the little kids. It's nice and easy but boring for a kid.
