Separation Anxiety at 4 years old

Hi

I am not sure what to do because lately my DD has had separation anxiety for the past 2 weeks. She doesn't want to go to school anymore and grabs on to me so I don't go. She is in Pre-K few times a week. Today shes at my moms and shes crying hysterical for me. Has this happened to any one else this late, thought this happens when they are younger. Ugh my mornings are hell now! Any tips would be great. TIA!

I think it's pretty typical at that age- even if there hasn't been a problem before.

I would ask her teachers to see if anything may have happened/is happening in school that set it off (maybe another child is having a rough time and it's making her nervous?)

Just continue to be reassuring! She will be okay.
