Spinoff - Annual Birthday gift for a girl???
DD's birthday is New Year's Eve. For Christmas I'm going to buy her an annual ornament every year. But I'd like to do something special each year for her birthday. My sister bought her a charm bracelet for her christening, so I'm assuming her intention is to add on to it each year, so that idea is out.
What else could I do annually for her to grow into?

your probably know my suggestion  but I do a different piece of jewelry each year. DD birthday is on new years day and that's why I do it for xmas she gets toy and her bday she gets the jewelry. she still gets a small toy but the jewelry is the main present

My husband has decided to get our dd a beautiful edition of a classic childrens book each year. He actually started the collection when she was born - so far she has secret garden, little women, Peter Pan.
