Temperature at night

With this recently freezing weather, what do you keep the temperature of your house on at night, and what do you dress your lo in?

Re: Temperature at night

At night we have the upstairs at 66. For some reason my boy's rooms get the warmest fastest so they are good.
They wear long sleeve, two piece cotton pajamas.
They also sleep under the sheet and comforter with an extra blanket on top. Sometimes when I check on them the room is too warm and I take the extra blanket off.

Re: Temperature at night

I keep it at 66/67.

It's just that Julian is a hot body and he wears long sleeved PJ's, long pants with socks. He also sleeps with a blanket.

And I'm the same way. I can't have it be too hot at night.

You will have to adjust your house based on how your house retains heat.

By me saying 66-68 means nothing since the insulation in my house is completely different than yours. Also, my DS is a hot kid so he doesn't get bundled up.

This is true. I should have mentioned. My house - you put the heat on for a moment and it is toasty. It holds the heat so well. The man who we bought it from had just had new siding, windows, and insulation put in when he added on a porch in the front. So, yeah it is like a little incubator in there!

Our house is always set to 62 at night, we never changed that even after having kids. Their rooms tend to feel a little warmer because they sleep with their doors closed.

My son (19 months) sleeps in feety pj's and a sleep sack. My DD (6 yo) just wears warm pj's and she has a sheet, comforter, and light blanket on her bed.

At night it's usually somewhere between 65-67. The kids both wear footy pj's.

Re: Temperature at night

Logan doesn't sleep well if he's cold. We have individual heat in each room. Our bedroom is 66-67, but Logan's is 69-71. In winter he sleeps in either long sleeved two piece pj's or a footie onesie and a sleeveless sleep sack.

Temperature at night

It depends on the size of the house and if its a 1 zone or 2 zone also depends on your heating system. My house is 1 zone and we keep it at 74. 66-67 would be an incebox in our house.

Re: Temperature at night

We put our heat at 62. Most nights, if it's not freezing freezing, the house stays at 65-66 on its own so the heat never kicks. Last night I heard it go on several times. We have it come on to the daytime setting of 67 at 6am so by the time we are out of our beds the house is toasty.

DS1 sleeps in long sleeve, pant pjs and has a thick comforter and another blanket. DS2 usually has fleece pjs and always a sleepsack.

Temperature at night

65-67 but DD's room is the warmest in the house and according to the video monitor which has a temperature sensor, her room never goes below 67. She wears just regular feetie pj's or if she wears non-feeties, then she wears socks or slippers. Sometimes we put her in a sleep sack with nothing underneath but socks. We just started keeping an A&A blanket covering her legs. She's a generally warm baby.
