Daycare upset VENT

DD is 7 mo and I dropped off today and the usual caretakers are not there but the Director of the facility and the assoc Director are working the room.
The director tells me that there was an issue and the 2 teachers were fired. When I asked what happened she told me that she wasnt able to talk about it. I wanted to die. There are 8 kids in that room with 2.5 people caring for them. One of the women i have know for almost 3 yrs and took care of 2 of my family members as well as my 2 kids. She was very good with my kids and the other one was great as well. Im so upset and at a loss for words. I left my baby with people who dont know her and how she is. As much as they assure me they are replacing them with great people i want to cry. I cant imaging them doing anything to the kids.

I dont know how to feel upset, confused, scared. and how can i get any answers if the director cant tell me what happened. Especially when she says the safety of the kids is no 1. ??? WTH

It might not have been an issue with a child and more of an hr issue.

I would find it very odd that both teachers in one room were fired the same day, but if I was otherwise happy with the center I probably would not pull them out unless anything other teachers were randomly fired or anything else fishy started to go on.

I would check the state's website to see if there are any violations, that might give you some more info?

Are you friendly with any of the other teachers? I would try to find out from one of them!

It could have been so many different things unrelated to the children. Because it was both of them I would think it was something they did together or maybe even an argument he said/she said sort of thing. I would perhaps ask outright if it had anything specifically to do with the children. Maybe she can at least confirm it's didn't and set your fears at ease?
