Video Monitor Recs

We have had a few summer infant monitors, and they keep conking (sp?) out on us. Looking to get a new monitor for DS's room that has the following features.

1) Video
2) You can talk to baby through monitor
3) Monitor can pan
4) Good size screen and good sound

Any recs? I bought a Motorola at Target only to realize it can't pan and the cord length is so short too.

I don't know if you're trying to avoid Summer Infant altogether now, but we have the BabyTouch and love it! We've had it for over 3 years and have not had one issue with it.

Re: Video Monitor Recs

My Motorola broke within a year. The monitor stopped charging unless wire was placed a certain way and then the piece finally fell into the monitor so it is garbage now.

I have the Motorola with 2 cameras. I've been using it for about 15 months now. I'm on my 3rd one. The first broke within a couple of months and I exchanged it at the store. The 2nd one broke about 10 months later and Motorola sent me a new one. Personally, I think they are all probably crappy! Just cross your fingers, keep the box/receipt, and hope for the best!

try a foscam web camera and use it with your iphone or android. it's cheaper and works better than stand alone monitors IMO
