Which do you have and why do you like it? I'm looking to buy one for DD and need a little help in picking one.

Convertible Car Seat

I have the Chico nextfit. I love it because its really padded and it fits in both our SUV and car. I hate the cup holder but only because the sippies we use has a really wide bottom which doesn't fit in any cup holders.

Does anyone know the difference between the Britax Marathon, Britax Advocate and Britax Pavilion? I see now they also have the "Click Tight" for each of those models as well, does anyone have any experience with that too?

Re: Convertible Car Seat

We had the marathon for DS1 and it is gigantic! We've bought a new car since having DS2 and we'll need to check soon if it fits in our new car.

Just got the Graco Forever. Haven't installed it yet, but I'm excited that it's the last car seat we'll buy.

We have the advocate and love it. The difference is the extra padding. The marathon had the standard. The pavillion has the added head rest. The advocate has that plus added protection around the side. It's big though so if you don't have a big car, it probably is not a good idea to get.

The click tight s great. You put them in the harness and pull the strap to tighten it. When it is tight enough it clicks. Be careful with this though bc if they have a fleece on or something, which they shouldn't, the click isn't accurate.

Convertible Car Seat

Before anything, what type of budget do you have? What is your DD's height and weight and how old is she? What vehicle (s) would you be putting the seat in? And is she the only one who will be in the back?

As a general statement the old britax seats (without the clixk tight system) aren't good for babies who are tall and/or heavy. They have lower rear facing limits which could lead to foward facing too soon. The new click tight seats have a reinforced headrest so they have an expanded height range.

The Graco 4ever is a great seat. It fits the majority of kids correctly in all modes and has a 10 year life span

But if those are out of your price range there's plenty of seats on the market to choose from! !
