Oh wow, this is really sad. Even sadder that my DD is only 2 1/2 and I tell her "in a few minutes" all the time. I feel like printing it & carrying it around with me as a reminder.

I know! I am bringing my older one up to bed a little earlier now so that we can read an extra book or I can rub his arm for a little longer if he asks, which he always does :)

Thank you for posting this. I have a terrible habit of doing the same thing when I put DS to bed every night. I get so annoyed when he calls me back in for "one more kiss" or "a snuggle" because in my mind it's time for bed and my time to relax. I never looked at it this way before. It was a reminder that I really needed.
