What happened with getting easier at 4 yo?

Because this is not the case with my 4 yo at all! As soon as she turned 4, the attitude started, the talking back, the eye rolling! It's like living with a diva...I swear! What happened with 4 getting easier? Unless my DD is an exception to this rule! She is slowly driving me to drink..and she's not a teenager yet..I'm really in for it !!! Chat Icon

Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon Chat Icon 4 was definitely not easier for us either!! Whoever said that was lying. Chat Icon I will say that now that he is 5 and in kindergarten he is starting to get much better. I think maturity is playing a huge part of it.

My son is turning 4 at the end of next month and honestly, I think he's following in his sister's footprints.

Who said it got easier? That person lied to you. LOL. My DD is approaching 4 and she is full of sass. We actually write some of the things down because we can't believe that she comes up with them.

This post scares me. I have a few more months before the twins turn 4 and I was really hoping it would get a little easier as I've been told. I see that I've clearly been lied to Chat Icon

ugh we were awful from 1-3 no joke. Tantrums all the time. Thought we turned a corner from 3-3 1/2. those 6 months were bliss. Now at 4 forget it. She's nasty, rude, doesn't listen etc.

I'm praying 5 is better but from what I saw on the playground yesterday I'm thinking no lol.

May needs to come soon lol

I feel like I'm living with a teenager

What happened with getting easier at 4 yo?

I think they get better when they are in their mid 20's. my 6 year old nephew is driving us all up a wall. The back talk, the attitude, the eye rolling. They are little Jekyll and Hydes. My 15 year old nephew just turned a huge corner and I told him the other day I now like you again. Love the little beasts but want to strangle them.

My 17m old is already a little diva I'm scared when she actually starts speaking full sentences.

Re: What happened with getting easier at 4 yo?

My DD was a piece of cake until she was about 4.5 yo. Then she kept testing us, had a little attitude about everything, and was generally a pain in the a$$. Then she started Kindergarten and turned 5 a week after that and almost right away she turned around.

Kindergarten reallllly mellowed her back out and matured her and she became pretty easy again. She just turned 6 and even though she might have a moment here or there on the whole, she's very, very good.

School and age really helps to mature them and level them out IMO.

I definitely have a threenager. I was hoping 4 would be better. My mom has always said it was her favorite age. But we are four months from four and I feel like the attitude/not listening is getting worse, not better. She can be super sweet and so funny, but she definitely has a diva side!
