EBF and introducing solids
At what age did you begin to introduce solids? The pediatrician said between 4-6 months (earlier for FF babies, later for BF babies.). DS will be 5 months this week and I was contemplating starting them soon.

EBF and introducing solids
DD is on both pumped BM and formula (has been from day 1) and we only started solids this week. She is 6.5 months old.
She didn't show any signs of readiness until the last couple of weeks.

6 months
I believe the AAP guideline now is 6 months, regardless of breast milk or formula.

My DS is 6.5 months and I haven't started yet. I've heard "Food before 1 is just for fun" in BF babies. I started my DD just before 7 months and will do the same with Ds and start next week.

6 months here too. It took her a good 2 weeks to get the hang of it even then.

Yes same. Gave a few tastes prior. But earliest was between 6-6.5mos.

EBF and introducing solids
I started dd on solids a few days before her six month birthday. She was definitely ready. She readily took the food right away.
ETA: she was EBF.

I don't think BF or FF matters.
I just think solids is a PITA and I'd hold off as long as possible!!

Ff or bf doesn't matter
And if you feel like your DS is ready than go for it. There is no perfect age it's more about when they are showing signs of being ready.

Haha! This is what I figured. DH is going away on business for 2 weeks so I was planning on starting when he gets back. DS will be just over 5.5 months. DS is always eyeballing our food when we eat that's why I asked.
Thanks everyone.
