When to start testing CBOPK's

This is our first month really really TTC.

Last month I had a 35 day cycle. As far as I know that is not really normal for me. They are usually around 28-30 days.

I finally downloaded FF and put in all my info and it is showing me approximate ovulation days but I believe its using a 35 day cycle. I am confused on what CD to start testing with the CBOPK. I dont want to miss ovulation if I do it too late based on this approximate schedule but also don't want to be taking the test too early either.

So I guess my questions are

1. what CD should I start taking them?
2. What time of day do they work best?

and ugh.. if the approximate schedule on FF is correct I will be away for work on my peak days! of course!

Thanks for all the help Chat Icon

Re: When to start testing CBOPK's

I am no expert yet on CBOPK's. But....I'd recommend around CD10-11 to cover your bases for the "worst case scenario early-wise" of having a 28 day cycle. Worst that happens is that you use some extra sticks and have to do it an extra week until you see your smiley's. If the next cycle is 35 days, you won't notice a smiley until around CD17 but at least starting around CD10-11 you know you won't miss your window!

Good luck! Chat Icon
