Starting the process question...
Very interested in international adoption- central/South America or SE Asia. Where do I begin? Any agency websites to browse? TIA!

we adopted our son through Holt International. Although we live in NJ- not sure if they work in NY.
Our son was born in South Korea. Cannot recommend them enough!!! an amazing agency, really care about the kids. They've been around for over 50 years (started during the Korean war). BEcause of that, they have some amazing resources for the kids as they get older... adoptee camps they can go to, webinars parents can watch about issues that might come up with adopted children, in NJ they have a picnic for adoptive families every year. So they really care about your child and how they grow up... its not just "ok, you gave us money, here's your cute kid- good bye". and we really like that my son will have these chances to see other adoptive families as he gets older so he can see other families like ours.
ANyway- as I said, I'm not sure if they work out of NY... it might depend on what country you're looking at. But definitely worth checking into Holt. GOOD LUCK!!!!
