Suggestions for 1st bday party in November
DS will be 1 in Nov and as most 1 year olds, isn't really "into" anything yet. Looking for suggestions for his party. I know I could just do "fall", but that really isn't geared to a baby. What else that could be cute. For DDs, I basically did Birthday Princess, but am not really feeling Birthday Prince for him. I think I want something more fun & playful.

DS1 we did a construction theme. DH is a contractor so we thought it would be cute bc of that. Not that DS was into it at all. Construction hats, road signs, snacks in trucks, cones, etc... made it for cute decorations.
DS2 we did a Sesame Street theme. He did like Elmo at the time and was watching more shows bc he had a 2 yr old brother at the time. Lots of yellow, blue and green. Easy decorations. I made the characters in a few veggie platters, etc.
You can't go wrong for a 1st birthday party with any theme.

I've seen people do a "little monster" theme which was cute. Or if he has a favorite stuffed animal or book you could make that the theme.

I did a pirate. Even though he wasn't "into" Jake he still seems to like it if it was on. Do whatever you want because they won't remember anyway.

I used the theme "1st birthday" for both kids. It only happens once! Then, you can go with a color scheme. Since then, for my boy, I've done Farm Fire trucks Pirates

We did a jungle animal theme. It was easy to find invitations, and I got jungle animal place card holders that doubled as favors. We cut off the wire holder from some of them and put them on the cake as well.

We are doing a nautical theme too like his room. Party city has 1st birthday ocean theme on there website.
The only show he likes is Sesame Street and we did that for my older ds 1sy birthday so I don't want it be exactly the same.

Re: Suggestions for 1st bday party in November
My husband works in the golf industry so we did a Hole in One par-tee for our DS's first, it was cute. We had a golf ball smash cake, golf themed shaped cookies, decorated wtih golf tees and gave each kids a blow up golf club from oriental trading. I've also been to Apple of our Eyes and Pumpkin Patch themes this time of year.
