Preschool Woes
DD will be 3 in December. She is an energetic, social, and adaptable little girl, so after much contemplation we decided to enroll her in a 3's program at a preschool. Our decision about whether to enroll her was more financial since she doenst meet the school cut off for her year and if she started preschool this year she would be in preschool for a total of 3 years.
I work PT, so I am at work 3 out of the 4 days she has school. She is also enrolled in a separation preschool type class at my church on Saturdays.
So here is my issue.. I feel sad that all of her activities are separation classes.. I miss my mommy and me classes with my little girl! Is she just aged out of mommy and me at this point or am I pushing her to grow up to fast by enrolling her in separation programs?

Re: Preschool Woes
3 is a good age for separation. Having some "me time" has been great for dd and me. She started pre-school at 2.5 and parent free gym class at 3.

Re: Preschool Woes
I think most activities that age are geared more to separation. My son will be 3 in October and he is in preschool and plays soccer. They still need lots of mommy time, but structured activities should be about socialization.

My DS is 3 and most of what is offered is separation. He is in daycare Tues, Wed, & Thurs. He also does soccer on Sunday mornings and an art class Friday mornings. He loves all of it and we get plenty of together time when we are home. :) Good luck!
