She looks HOT and just because your a mom you can still be sexy! It's what makes her famous and the industry she is in! I agree. Plus she has the body for it, why not!!
I know if I looked like that and I was a celebrity I would have no problem showing and shaking my booty! As far as younger girls being a role model come on it's not like she's nude!

Not age appropriate. Nothing more embarrassing to me than a 40+ year old still dressing like they're 20 (or even a teenager, in her case).

It's not appropriate for a 40 year old woman in the office, yes.
But on stage, as a performer, I see nothing wrong with it

Jennifer Lopez at Fashion Rocks
I don't think it's age appropriate for Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen to look like old ladies

I agree.
I think she looks GREAT for her age BUT I also think you look a little ridiculous prancing around in tiny outfits and singing about childish things (that stupid "I love you papi" song) like you did when you were in your 20's.
I just feel you should be a little classier and more grown up once you hit your 40's. You're not a kid anymore, you shouldn't really be trying to look like one. JMO.

Jennifer Lopez at Fashion Rocks
If Steven Tyler can run around with gyrating hips and feathers in his hair and paint splattered skinny jeans as a grandfather, I then see no issue with jLo.
Plus... That's what sells. No one would want to watch her or Steven if they both wore business suits. I sure wouldn't.
Jmo :)

exactly! Plus I've seen some celebrities wear much worse.

Re: Jennifer Lopez at Fashion Rocks
These discussions always make me laugh because people talk as if these performers are really the ones in charge of their brand. While they have some say - they are part of a team who are invested in making millions off of them and need the performer to be on board with whatever they tell them to do.
They say shake your ass, she says "how much jiggle?" She did not pick out that outfit. She did not write the song. She is a performer doing her job.

She doesn't NEED to do THAT job. She CHOOSES to do that job, chooses to agree to wear THOSE clothes and CHOOSES to sing those songs. She CAN say no, so that means nothing IMO that someone else chose those songs or clothes, etc.
We aren't talking about a woman working to put food on the table. It's all greed, b/c she has more than enough that she doesn't NEED to pimp her old self out like that in order to stay current. How about staying CLASSY and not having to act like that to make more money, as if she doesnt already have enough?
Not arguing with you, btw, just responding to your statement.

I agree with you, especially when it comes to younger performers, but I do wonder how much say someone like Jennifer Lopez has at this point in her career.
Even if it was all her choice, I have no problem with it-why does a woman need to restrain her sexuality after she hits 40 or has kids?
She doesn't look like a twerking granny or anything; she would be sexy even if she stood still in a pants suit & turtle neck when she performed.
