We will be in Disney 9/25-9/29

Totally last minute trip. DS # 1 is 3, DS # 2 19 months. We are staying at the Grand Floridian. I am not sure I can get anything good this late in the game, but any good dinner suggestions? We will probably have cereal, bagels, granola bars, juice etc. in the room each morning, and do counter service for lunch. So looking for 4 nights worth of dinners. We are not huge character people, but would like to do one- thinking Crystal Palace or Ohana. Right now our plan is to be in MK Thurs night, Epcot Fri night, downtown disney Sat night, MK sun night. So we were thinking something like this-

Thurs- crystal palace or ohana
Fri- Biergarten or the hibachi place in Japan
Sat- Rainforest Cafe or T Rex
Sun- liberty tree tavern maybe?

Ohana for dinner has gone down hill from what I have heard, so I personally would skip that. Food at Crystal Palace isn't good, but if your kids like Pooh and Friends, it's fun. I like Liberty Tree Tavern, and think the food is yummy there. Hibachi in Japan is very good. I also like the Garden Grill in Epcot, it's a character meal, but the food is good. I'm not a fan of Rainforest or T-Rex, but the kids would like it.

Sunday night is the Halloween party at MK, so the park closes at 7pm unless you have tickets to the party.

You should consider the Halloween Party though !It's so much fun!! We are going that weekend also

Boma at Animal Kingdom lodge is really good buffet.

We had ohana dinner in May and it was super yummo!

Epcot also look into Coral Reef. And since youre at GF we had a great last minute dinner at GF cafe.

I didn't like the food at Crystal Palace. Maybe breakfast would be better. We liked the character breakfast at Hollywood and Vine in Hollywood Studios.

Thank you ladies for all of the suggestions. I am not sure we are going to do Hollywood Studios this trip, my boys are kind of young for it. We've switched it up a bit and are thinking-
Thurs night- liberty tree tavern
Fri night- maybe beaches & cream, or something else in the boardwalk area?
Sat night- t rex
Sun night- coral reef
Mon morning- Ohana breakfast

You would be surprised what you can get late in the game. Disney now takes a CC for advance dining reservations and charges a fee for cancellations less than 24 (or in some cases up to 72) hours in advance. People are much more careful about cancelling now, instead of just not showing the day of.

We booked a last minute Disney trip last sept 28 weekend. I found lots of last minute cancellations.

Since you are on the monorail I would suggest you to chef mickeys at the contemporary for character breakfast instead of ohana. Ohana is stitch and mickey but chef mickeys has all the mickey and friends characters so your boys will love it and the breakfast buffet there is fine (I wouldn't eat there for dinner). My DS is 3 and he also likes rainforest cafe in downtown disney.

I can tell you one thing: Biergarten is AMAZING! And I hate german food! But that paprika Sausage with their signature paprika chips is something I still dream about!

Christine, I changed my dates, and I'm cancelling some dining. I have 'Ohana and Prime Time 50's. We could possible coordinate.
