Lab for Bloodwork - Thanks everyone - we went to Good Sam!
Where can I take my 3 year old for bloodwork? South shore suffolk or a Stony Brook lab would be great!
Update - Thanks everyone. We went to Good Sam today and they were great! In and out in 15 minutes.

Thanks, I have heard that. I'm not familiar with Good Sam. Our doctors are Stony Brook affiliated so I don't know if that would work. We did a Stony Brook lab last time and I can't find the number for where they are located.

I second Good Sam! If they are on your insurance it's definitely the place to go. Shouldn't matter if your doctors are not affiliated with them. Mine are also with SB but after a few unsuccessful attempts at labcorp I went to Good Sam and it was a breeze.
SB does have a lab in the office park on Technology Drive. I don' recall the exact number but it's in the first or second building on the left. If you go there, I would definitely NOT let a student try since I've had them have to call for help more than once bc they couldn't get the blood after a few tries.

Good Sam for sure. It goes by your insurance- not your doctor- but if your insurance doesn't list them, call. They weren't on my insurance website as covered but I called and they said they do take my insurance and the list isn't always updated. They are great with kids

Good Sam definitely, no complaints. They were extremely quick I think we were in and out with my 2 year old in 10 minutes.

Re: Lab for Bloodwork
I also recommend Good Sam. I brought my 1 year old and he whinning/crying because he was being held but he did not even cry one little bit louder when they actually stuck him which usually happens with shots. I was impressed. I was so nervous and it actually was not that bad at all.
