School drop off question

My district is still half day kindergarten. I just found out today that my request for morning schedule wasn't granted and we got afternoon. I have no one to help with this and I work ft. I have a flex start time so I could have taken ds everyday if it was morning with having someone else pick up. I am totally at a loss for anyone to get him at dismissal. No one thinks the school will make changes. Does anyone know of a program that does morning enrichment with bussing? Or have any suggestions on what they did?

My district is 1/2 day as well. They do have before care and after care as well as AM or PM enrichment to make it full day. What district are you?

if your in nassau - south shore camp and merrick woods, and alphabetland merrick all have kindergarten enrichment - they do the half day, then around lunch bus them over to the school.... We were going to do this, but between the $600+ for 1/2 day and $300 for after care after school it cost us the same to just send to a full day private school.

Thanks! East meadow sd. I really should have thought this through before but I really thought I would have gotten him in am session due to my explanation that it's just me available to drive. Is it worth me making a call to the district? Do they ever make these changes? I will look into the enrichment idea. Thanks!

I wrote my request too late and ended up getting PM Kindergarten. the 1st or 2nd day of school i got a call asking if i wanted the am class because a parent was switching int PM so maybe call and see what they can do.
