Pacifier to thumb sucker ?
Has anyone's DC started sucking their thumb when the pacifier was taken away or the discussion of taking it away started??
DD IS 2 and uses a pacifier for nap and bed still 
But I'm noticing her occasionally sucking her thumb or finger - ugh is this the next step. We started talking about taking the pacifier away recently !

yup... at 1yo I yanked the pacifier out of DD's life and as if to say "nanny nanny poo poo" she looked at me and started sucking her thumb. She's almost 4 and is still a passionate thumb sucker... so much for my attempt at pacifier tough-love!

Pacifier to thumb sucker ?
Yes. my niece was a pacifier sucker and then my brother and SIL took it away around the 4 month mark and she found her thumb.
She sucked it up until a few months ago - she will be 4 in September.

Pacifier to thumb sucker ?
Same thing happened with my nephew. Loved paci. Parents took it away so thumb it was. I'm not fighting her thumb even though I hate it. She'll outgrow it.
