City Mini Stroller and Chicco Keyfit Car Seat
I'm researching strollers and car seats. We picked the baby jogger city mini gt for our stroller. I also really like the Chicco Keyfit 30 for a car seat.
I had some questions on the baby jogger car seat adapter made for the keyfit. Do you lose the ability to fold the stroller easily? I read someone's review that she had issues with it. I also saw a youtube video of the two together and the women was showing an insane amount of wobbling back and fourth, but I'm not sure if she had it installed correctly. I was just wondering if anyone had any safety concerns with that.
TIA!

I don't know if it is the same thing, but I have the city mini with the graco adapter and I can fold it just fine. I also think it is sturdy (as long as it locks in).

I have both.... love both, but I'm curious as to why you don't use the snap and go. Dh and I were saddened when we had to retire our snap and go

I have the city mini but we did buy the snap and go for the car seat. It was just a lot easier...

I loved my keyfit with the snap and go and used them for over a year. I didn't get the adapter for the city mini but started putting DD in just the stroller at 4 months on occasion. My bff had them both too and she preferred the adapter with the city mini over the snap and go so i guess it's personal preference.

As of now we just want the one stroller, if we find that we need the snap and go, we can run out and get it.

City Mini Stroller and Chicco Keyfit Car Seat
I have another question, I read a review on a BabyGearLab.com that "the GT has a significant safety issue, the risk of back-tipping risk when the seat is fully reclined" Have any of you had this problem? It seems like such a popular stroller and I'd image it would perform differently on tests than it would in real life. Any thoughts?

We used the chico w/ snap and go then switched over to the city mini. We had the adapter but thought it was kind of a pain/not easy to fold and more work then just using the snap and go initially. Once he was big enough he went right into the city mini (around 4 months I think)

I used the City Mini and Chicco adapter, never saw the need for a snap and go. I wanted to walk with the baby, and the snap and go didn't really serve for long distance walks.

Interesting. I have the snap and go and walk 3-4 miles a day with it and love it!

Hmm I don't know that is what I was told by all my friends, that it worked for errands, but not long walks. I didn't really need a stroller for errands, I either wore him or stayed home with my husband, he has a very flexible schedule in the winter. If you have a snap and go, it's great to use, but it seemed like an extra stroller that I didn't need since the keyfit fit right into the city mini. My son is almost 3 now and we still love the city mini.

I had the snap and go and used it to walk with ds and hated it. I kept stepping on the locks and locking it up. I like the city mini so much better. It's really one extra step than the snap and go (button the lock on the bottom). Other than that it performs just as a snap and go performs.

That's the exact combo I had with dd and it was great. I had the snap n go too but preferred the way the city mini handled when walking

I have never had this problem but my DD is only 16 pounds. I love the stroller. I use it with the Britax B-safe car seat which has a different adaptor that I was more confortable with.
