Formula for gassy newborn??

My dd is 9 days old and it is so hard to get a burp out if her. She holds the gas in and is up all night. Please recommend the best formula ( supplementing breast milk) for a very gassy baby.

we've used enfamil gentlease since DS was tiny. he's always done well on it. when he was a newborn, we also did the bicycle legs a lot to get his system moving around :)

Formula for gassy newborn??

Everyone swore by gentleease which I used for a while bc it was better than when she was on regular formula but she spit up excessively & still had bad gas a few times a week. I switched to similac sensitive & the gas was completely gone. I think it's trial & error honestly every baby is different but don't settle. I thought my dd was just a gassy baby but it turned out I just needed to find the right formula for her

I used to just put gas drops into the formula and feed DS that way. It worked like a charm!

Thank you. We are current using gentle ease. I will try the similac sensitive.

I would do it right away. I asked my Mom for advice and she agreed that with the gentle ease she was still just too gassy so I sent my DH to the store and the very next feeding I tried the similar sensitive. One piece of advice when using the similac sensitive- if you shake the bottle just put a drop or two of gas drops in there with it-- it can get foamy and this completely takes the foam away.

I give DD pumped milk and have to supplement due to low supply. We use Up & Up Infant Formula w/ Iron (same as Enfamil Premium Infant).
