Re: Parking in Forest Hills

I think Russell Sage is fairly close to the E. I'd take the train; I wouldn't mess with parking before an interview.

Horrendous -- I went there AND lived a few blocks from there as an adult. If you can take the train, that's your best bet. The N/R is a few blocks in one direction, and the E/F is a few blocks in the other.

Do you know if there is a lot for teachers?

Re: Parking in Forest Hills

Near the HS isn't as bad as it is on Austin street. You may have to park a block or two away but they're short blocks and you won't have to worry about a meter. It's definitely not ideal, but it's also not unmanageable.

The LIRR is close and so is the subway, so if you can take public transportation I would suggest that. It will save you the hassle of losing time in the morning looking for parking.

I never had a problem with parking until recently and it's starting to be really annoying because people literally won't move their cars for weeks at a time.

As far as I know, there isn't one. I hope you're able to take either the subway or the LIRR -- if not, then just leave yourself plenty of time and, as someone else said, take a lot of quarter just in case you have to park at a meter.
