Gag Reflex - not any better???

My son ate ceral this morning and again he choked and threw up. I swear a couple of week ago he was eating thinker cereal but lately he doesn't eat anything chunk...He 7 months old and NOT on his way to table food - that was a bigger mess...Any help or suggestions? has anyone else had this problem?

Re: Gag Reflex - not any better???

Whatever you are feeding him may be too thick, still. It takes them a long time to get used to new textures and if you don't increase the thickness at a slow enough interval, they can definitely gag. I would make it really thin for a week, then thicken it slightly for the next week, then slightly more for a week, etc.

Brianna did the same thing. It probably is too thick, try thinnning it out even more than you have already. MAke it like really soupy for a while. That's what I had to do .Brianna is going to be 9 months and we are just getting out of that phase. She doesnt get much table food yet.. Pastina and biter cookies thats really it and the puffs.. I did try pancakes and yes she choked so we will wait a little longer..
