God help me, groin pain!
Please tell me this goes away... has anyone experienced pain in their groin/inner thigh where it meets your pubic bone? Is this lightning crotch/round ligament pain? For God's sake, I'm not even 4 months pregnant yet, and I barely gained any weight!
OUCH

Re: God help me, groin pain!
I had this pretty much my entire pregnancy. It was horrendous and just got worse. I was miserable but honestly I felt 100 percent better as soon as I delivered.

Re: God help me, groin pain!
I had this but more towards the end when the baby was bigger and I think she was lying on some nerve. I would be walking and literally be stopped dead in my tracks by it. I couldn't walk anymore and would have to stand there until it passed. Other times I'd be sitting on the toilet and unable to get up because it was so bad. It was horrible.

This...
I got it so early in pregnancy. I think early 2nd tri. It was awful. And mine went away within the week after DD was born.

Re: God help me, groin pain!
Mine started early 2nd trimester also, it comes and goes. And when it comes, literally feels like I'm getting punched down there. Doctor told me it's completely normal and some pregnant women get it, some don't.
Try a heating pad when it's really bad, that's the only thing that's helped me. Also when laying down in bed is usually the worst for me when trying to get up - my doctor told me to get out of bed with both legs together at the same time.
I also got a belly support belt that I use if I'm doing stuff around the house a lot, or on a long walk/out somewhere, that helps alleviate it a bit.

God help me, groin pain!
I had it for three weeks. It felt like my legs were a wishbone being split in half. All day. Every day. For three weeks. The culprit was my baby kicking me in the pelvis. He's flipped, and now I'm OK.. until he drops I guess.

God help me, groin pain!
Mine happens when I get up from sitting too long. Weird! I totally thought I pulled a groin muscle until it kept happening... OMG, when I walk it takes my breath away
ETA I have no idea what or why, but I was pregnant with twins, and nada. I am 15 weeks pregnant, and it's a singleton. What gives?

When you get up do so very slowly. It's basically two smaller bones in your pelvic bone area that are rubbing against eachother and causing pain/friction. So just in those moments, take care to do things slowly and give your body time.
My doctor said it just happens with some people and some people don't get it, so totally depends.

Re: God help me, groin pain!
Wish I could tell you it goes away, but most likely, even if it does, it will come back with the vengeance toward the end. I am 35 weeks and some days I don't know how I'm able to walk. It has gotten worse since the baby has been head-down. It feels like knives at times... horrible!

My bff didn't get it, but at around 35 weeks, she too had issues walking - she described it as having a bowling ball between her legs.

I have the wish bone effect-it started around 33 weeks? I just figured it was a normal thing to deal with.

I had it with my third and not my twins It started early on too. When I asked my dr he said "you're pregnant, work full time and have toddler twins...it's not going away anytime soon" Unfortunately he was right. I actually still get it from time to time and I'm not pregnant ...feel better

Re: God help me, groin pain!
I had the same thing and the only thing that helped was going to see my chiropractor. She has these special tables that you can lie down on and she did adjustments and stretches on my pelvis to help with the pain and pressure. If you want her info, fm me. She's great.

You guys have been amazing! Thanks so much for the advice! Getting up from my desk more frequently works, as does getting up with both feet on the ground. I'm going back to the chiropractor soon! I guess I will have to hang in there
