Do you dress your toddler in shorts if they still fall down a lot?
This might be a silly question, but Dd still falls down a lot, mostly trips when she's running. We have a lot of concrete areas in our yard, and I'm afraid she'll end up skinning her knees constantly. Do you leave your toddler in pants or leggings to protect their knees til they get better on their feet? I feel like if I put her in shorts I'm just setting her up to get hurt.

I put DS in shorts. She will get better on her feet - he cosntantly has bumps and bruises on his legs.

How long has she been walking for? It took DS a couple of times walking outside to get used to the ground not being level, going back and forth between grass and concrete, etc, but he quickly figure out how to walk outside and doesn't trip now.

DS is an accident waiting to happen. i have filled out more accident reports at daycare than most parents and even 2 in one day. He is a boy in every sense of the word so he goes all out when playing. he is cut and bruised all the time. I still put him in shorts. the scrapes heal in a matter of days and never leave scars.

My doc said bruises on the chins, knees and legs are a sign of a happily active child.
I would put AJ in shorts until bugs got to her then she had to go into long pants. She falls all the time!

DD is always scraping something. I put her in shorts when I can on purpose so she doesn't bleed into the pants. If bugs are an issue she goes in pants. I have bandaids with me when we are out.

Nope, with my DD I dressed her in capris. Now that I have I DS I guess I'll try and find long shorts.

I had DS in long pants the summer he was perfecting walking.
He didn't fall anymore when he was around 2.
