blue cheese dressing
Are we able to have blue cheese dressing? DH wants wings, and I need to eat them with the dressing. Hoping I can have it or I am not getting them.
Thanks

I say yuck just on principle, I'm not sure, I guess I would just double check that it's pasteurized, otherwise have them with Ranch dressing.

I switched to ranch, however, most of what I googled indicated that 99% of cheeses in the US are pasteurized. Ask the restaurant or your doc.

More than likely the cheese is pasteurized so you should be ok. Sounds really good!

Re: blue cheese dressing
My dr said no blue cheese bc its a mold based cheese and the bacteria can be unsafe.

My dr said blue cheese was ok as long as it is pasteurized.
I see things like this all the time online. My Dr says no to Robitussin DM (said I can only have plain Robitussin) but on BabyCenter I see other doctors and even the BabyCenter over the counter chart say it's ok. I really wish all doctors would just get on the same page so I wouldn't have to worry.

I just read something in a Pregnancy magazine that blue cheese isn't good because the mold gets added after pasteurization. Not sure what that means for blue cheese dressing though.

Re: blue cheese dressing
Following major institutions' guidelines is generally your safest bet (I.e., Mayo Clinic, American Pregnancy Association, etc). Blue cheese is considered safe, provided it is made with pasteurized milk (which most are).
