So I am not finding out the sex..but my FIL
insists it is a girl. He sends girl things. Today in the mail, I got a pink piggy bank set with 1st tooth and 1st curl..He only calls the baby his granddaughter. i told DH I cringe everytime he says it..DH agrees.
Is this behavior normal? He has 2 grandsons and 2 granddaughters, so its not like he has a lot riding on it being a girl or a boy.
Should I be grateful he is sending stuff? He just sent me my carseat. But he addressed it to his granddaughter...
am I just finding something to complain about?

Wouldnt it be weird if he was right? Maybe he's psychic!!!
He says he saw her in his dreams...only he can describe her...red hair with spanish complexion..that is pretty far fetched...I am sure some Puerto Ricans have redhair, but I would not put money on that bet...

awww...it's sweet that he sends you stuff. But I would definately get annoyed as well.
My mom insisted that I was having a girl and still says "the sonogram can be wrong." Well, not when they tell you that you are 100% having a BOY, lol. She even went so far as to tell me that she was a little disappointed to find out it was a boy. I told her I would be sure to tell Steven that when he gets older and she was mortified. I was just joking, but showing her how excessive she was being.

Are you kidding?!?!? He even bought those??? It is kinda weird that he is so insistent and buying all girl stuff. I hope he doesn't freak out if he is wrong.

I never thought of that combo...you with the red hair and him being spanish. I always see gorgeous spanish girls with dark hair dark eyes...is that a possibility of the baby having red hair like yours? That must be cool to see if it happens! What a gorgeous baby!

I will say that it is okay to feel boy... but it is a Gorgeous, Healthy Baby Girl that you are carrying and I expect her Birth to be a TOTAL and WONDERFUL SURPRISE for ALL of THOSE THAT " DIDN'T BELIEVE!!!"
 He is completely nice to me lately, but so into this baby being a girl....we can't figure it out..Its his 5th grandchild. Leo is not the favorite son. This guy actually calls as though there is a little girl running around here.

He means well... but I can see how you are getting annoyed with it. I would too.....
I agree the m&m's and cigars were a bit much but.... it's his money.
It's nice that he sends you stuff... but I hope he isn't too disappointed if shes a he!

The redheaded hispanic girls I knew had very THICK curly hair, tannish skin with freckles and dark eyes. There were two girls I knew when I was in jr high, they were sisters and they looked like this. Also, cousins of my old neighbors growing up were redheaded hispanic. It is not common, but they do exist. It looks cute.
Also, this may sound weird but my grandfather was from Napoli and had red hair. How many redheaded Italians do you know? (who are not mixed with Irish, that is)

I think he is going a little far. Its cute but too much.
BTW My FIL kept insisting I was having a boy when everyone else insisted I was having a girl. He was the only one who believed boy and he was right!

I don't know a single red Italian. interesting..
My grandpa was one! I have natural reddish highlights.
My DH comes from a family of redheads. His sister has the most beautiful red hair I have ever seen. I have red highlights and my DH has red facial hair (but not the hair on his head, weird, right?). I am convinced this baby will have red hair.
If it is a girl I hope it looks like DH's sister Mary. Not the best shot, but you get the idea

My sister and I are a little more than half Puerto Rican (In fact my dad calls us Sorta Ricans LOL). I have brown hair and blue eyes but my sister has pasty white skin with freckles, and fire engine red hair. It's funny because when we tell people our heriatge they never believe us. They think we're  .
