Another smell question - Painting
My DS has a party this weekend at a painting/craft place and DH needs to work so I have to take him. I don't want to breathe in all those smells though. I'm not comfortable leaving him there either - should I go and wait outside or would you just skip it?

Another smell question - Painting
I went to one of those plaster craft places when I was pregnant. They use nontoxic paint bc it's for kids. It's less harmful than going to a nail salon.

Another smell question - Painting
I was also thinking the paint must be different than paint we would use at home and that would have a strong smell. Can you call and ask? They should have proper ventilation for the kids

Almost all paint these days is nontoxic. Including paint for your house - it's mostly latex. We just painted my dining room last weekend, I had all the windows open and took lots of breaks, but I read everywhere that it was fine.

Another smell question - Painting
I would go - I'm sure the paint is non toxic and place is well ventilated. We painted the nursery and my dr said just to keep windows open

I'd say if it's safe enough for your DS, it's safe enough for you.

Re: Another smell question - Painting
I would go! The paints they use are non toxic and those party places are usually well ventilated. I took my oldest dc to a one of those parties when I was about 8 weeks. I'm sure it's fine!

Another smell question - Painting
I am usually very cautious, and I went. I asked when I got there and they said its non-toxic and I don't think its acrylic based so you should be fine. They told me pregnant women are there all the time with their kids and they are sure its safe.
