Disney Free Dinning plan ...
Is the Free Dinning plan offered worth it? Is it offered every year and is this really the best deals you will get.

Re: Disney Free Dinning plan ...
The dates are becoming more and more limited every year. I believe Disney is kind of trying to wean us off of this popular discount. It certainly is the most popular discount (and why I'm currently up at 2am even though my baby is sleeping!).
For some families it really is the best. Free Dining at a Moderate or Deluxe Resort for a family of 4 with 2 adults and 2 children saves about $160 per night. At a value it's a bit under $120 a night (Values get Quick service dining fr free but can upgrade to regular plus dining), which is possibly more than the entire cost of the room. It's typically the best deal at value and moderate resorts. At a Deluxe resort, you can often save more with a percent off offer, especially if you don't have a full 4-5 people in a room.
I really like the dining plan because it allows you to prepay your meals and budget and it does save money if you tend to eat the way it is designed. Getting it for free is a no-brainer, IMO.

Re: Disney Free Dinning plan ...
Free dining is very popular but it's not always the best value. The dates become more limited each year as do the resorts that they include in the promotion.
I have saved my clients thousands of dollars with the Free Dining promotion but I have saved just as much if not more using a room discount.
It really depends on the resort and how many people you have in your room.
The value of the dining plan also depends on how you choose to eat. For my family it's a no brainer, and we always get the dining plan, free or not. For others, it's a bit of a waste because some families choose to save entrees, don't want a sit down meal every day, don't eat dessert etc.
Part of my free concierge service is helping my clients find the best package to fit their needs which includes finding the best value, not always the cheapest deal. I'd love to help you figure this out.
