Best Backpack for Kindergarten?
Something that looks 'cool' but won't fall apart the second week? I was leaning toward Lands end .........

Re: Best Backpack for Kindergarten?
My DD got her backpack from Disney Store and it's still in GREAT condition and the school year is almost over.
I've heard Lands End are nice but my DD is Disney Princess obsessed so I didn't have a lot of choice.

Re: Best Backpack for Kindergarten?
I am going to let DS pick out a character one. I don't think he will be carrying around much in kindergarten.

Re: Best Backpack for Kindergarten?
We started the year with an angry birds backpack. It didn't last past Oct. (zipper broke). He switched to a pottery barn star wars one and it is as new looking as the day I bought it.

I wash my dd every week and still looks great! do you just throw it in the washer?!? yep I'm not sure if you're suppose to I've never read the label lol but I just toss it in there. The lunch box has actually gone in a lot more than once a week because my dd has put back her opened drinks. I don't put them in the dryer though. Just hang it in our laundry room. By Monday morning it's dry. I have a back up lunch box which I got from Disney store and have washed that too and it always comes out great!
Eta- I just looked at the tag and it says wipe with a damp cloth. I'm just going to pretend like I never read that and keep on washing it.

Best Backpack for Kindergarten?
I washed our PBK backpack last year (In K) and the strap that holds the lunch box severed. I washed it on gentle. I emailed them, they didn't care. I sewed it back on myself, and passed it along to my niece when my DD got a new one this year. I swore I wasn't going to buy another one, but she needed a bigger size, and I find their patterns to be the nicest.

Re: Best Backpack for Kindergarten?
Pottery barn kids. We have two, one last year, one this year. They held up beautifully. Many of the kids have one of their bags. Lands end makes great bags but they aren't nearly as cute and remind me of older kids bags. Our school wants the large size backpack.
